Founded in the printing hub of Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu by the visionary Mr. R. Chockalingam, SFAPL began as a humble print trading firm and has blossomed over six decades into a powerhouse of print technology and craftsmanship. From our modest origins serving local industries, we achieved our first export orders in the early 1990s and have since grown into one of Asia’s premier print houses, exporting high-quality paper products to over 40 countries across five continents. Our journey is a proud story of blending time-honored traditions with cutting-edge innovation, as we evolved from hand-crafted print jobs to high-tech, luxury publications while meeting the most stringent international quality standards

Green Printing with Purpose
Equally important to us is our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. As a leader in an industry that relies on natural resources, SFAPL is acutely aware of its ecological footprint and has taken proactive steps to foster sustainability. We are certified to ISO 14001 environmental management standards, which means we have systematic programs in place to reduce pollution, optimize resource usage, and continually improve our environmental performance. Across our campuses, we have implemented green initiatives that underscore this commitment:
☀️ Rooftop Solar Power
Our 1.26 MW rooftop solar plant, featuring 2336 solar panels, is a testament to our clean energy commitment. To date, it has generated 2288 MWh of power and prevented over 1888 tons of CO₂ emissions—supporting our transition to a greener energy source through advanced solar automation and governance.
💧 Rainwater Harvesting
We have constructed 4 large rainwater ponds that channel and store runoff from factory rooftops and roads. This system collects approximately 35.7 million liters annually, significantly recharging groundwater levels and making our campus water-resilient.
🌳 SFAPL Dense Forest
Spread across 4 acres, our Dense Forest is home to over 4,500 native and endangered plant species, including trees, shrubs, creepers, and herbs. This biodiverse haven supports bird nesting, pollination, and natural regeneration. Powered by solar-based automated irrigation and monitored through an in-house weather station, the forest thrives with minimal human intervention.
Furthermore, we prioritize environmentally responsible sourcing – using FSC-certified paper and eco-friendly inks wherever possible – to ensure that our products are not only high in quality but also sustainable. Waste reduction and recycling are ingrained in our processes: paper waste is recycled, and even the excess from cutting and binding is repurposed or disposed of responsibly. Our presses have been optimized for energy efficiency, and we continuously train our staff in green practices.
